Chameleon is the oldest group bootloader project of the hackintosh scene. It is a legacy bootloader, meaning it doesn't use the more modern boot capabilities of UEFI motherboards. For years we maintained a branch of Chameleon called Chimera. Hackintoshes generally use Chameleon or Chimera bootloader (they're really the same thing) to boot Mac OS X. If you own a real Mac, you can just download the PKG installer for Chameleon bootloader and install it onto a USB drive in a single click. Oct 04, 2011 The Chameleon bootloader is an open source project and is released in accordance with the GPL v2 license. The source code can be found at the voodooprojects forge where it can be downloaded and compiled. If you are not comfortable downloading and compiling source code or you just want a quick meth.
