I access my mail from home a lot, but ever since the update to the new Outlook Web App, I can't view S/MIME encrypted emails. Unlike before, there's no option to install the S/MIME control. The only way I can read those emails is by using Outlook at work.
Windows x86/x64 users who use Internet Explorer, can read and send S/MIME email using Outlook Web Access.
Note: Only do this on secured computers that you own, not publicly accessible computers such as in an Internet cafe.
You must make sure you have installed a copy of your digital encryption keys on the machine you will be using. (Double-click on the certificate file you received earlier, and install it using the PIN you setup when you initially requested your certificate.)
Logon to Outlook Web Access and make sure to select: This is a private computer .
After logging in, click on Options, and select See All Options.
On the left side, click on Settings.
On the top-right, click on S/MIME.
Click the link for 'Download the S/MIME control.
On the top-left click on Mail to return to your mailbox.

You can now read and send encrypted email using Outlook Web Access on this computer.
